Sharing Wisdom,
Empowering the Future
We are breaking the pot of wisdom to share it with every student. Bridging the digital divide in Ghana through education, access, and mentorship.
When we set out to bridge the digital divide in Ghana, we asked ourselves one question: Who should own the future of knowledge in our communities? The answer was clear, it must be us.
Our name, The Ntikuma Project, comes from an old Akan story about Ananse, the trickster, and his son, Ntikuma. Ananse, believing he could control wisdom, tried to hide it in a pot for himself. But Ntikuma, young and observant, challenged his father’s thinking. He proved that wisdom isn’t meant to be hoarded, it must be shared and adapted to solve real problems.
That’s why the Ntikuma Project exists: to ensure that every student, every teacher, and every school—no matter where they are—has access to the digital tools they need to build, create, and lead in the future. Because when wisdom is shared, everyone moves forward.
In that moment, we saw the essence of our mission.
Technology is the modern pot of wisdom, and like Ntikuma, we believe that local communities must take charge of shaping it to fit their needs. The world is full of knowledge, but its power is unlocked when it is tailored for real people, in real places, solving real problems.
